It Started With a Simple Question
Why does something as basic as soap have to be full of ingredients you can't pronounce? That was the question Brenda asked herself one day — and she couldn't find a good answer. So she started making her own.
Using the cold-process method and only the most natural ingredients — beef tallow, shea butter, coconut oil, olive oil, mango butter — she crafted bars that were gentle, effective, and completely honest. No fillers. No synthetics. No shortcuts.
Her daughters Lucinda and Kim saw what she was building and joined in. What started as a kitchen experiment quickly became something worth sharing with the world.

Lucinda brought her eye for beauty and her heart for people to the brand. From the look and feel of every bar to the way the company shows up in the world — that's Lucinda's touch.

Kim keeps everything running. From sourcing ingredients to making sure every order ships with care, she's the backbone of Mawmaw's day-to-day. Her attention to detail shows in every bar.

Named for the Woman Who Inspired It All
The name Mawmaw's Soaps & Essentials wasn't chosen by accident. It's a tribute to Brenda's mother — a woman who lived simply, loved deeply, and believed that the best things in life were made by hand.
She never cut corners. She never used what she didn't trust. And she passed that spirit on to her daughter, who passed it on to hers. That's the legacy behind every bar we make.

THE BEGINNING
Brenda Makes Her First Batch
Frustrated with store-bought soap full of chemicals she couldn't identify, Brenda researched the cold-process method and made her first batch in her kitchen. Her skin thanked her immediately.
THE FAMILY JOINS IN
Lucinda & Kim Come Aboard
Word spread within the family. Lucinda and Kim tried the soap and were immediately converted. What started as a solo project became a true family business — and Mawmaw's Soaps & Essentials was born.
GOING LIVE
Launching Online
After perfecting their recipes and building a full lineup of scents — from Smoke to Silver Moon to Aloha Lava — the family launched mawmawssoaps.com and began sharing their work with customers nationwide.
